Serving Abby Joy and her family
was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. It deepened
my walk with Jesus in ways I never expected. Abby Joy left a lasting imprint on my heart. My children talk about her often.

On the nights I spent caring for her while she rested, I had time to be still before the Lord. Those quiet hours became precious moments of connection between me and Jesus. My relationship with Him began to shift. It became more personal, more real. Scriptures I once struggled to understand suddenly made sense.
That transformation didn’t stay with just me. Through Abby Joy, I saw God’s love and power in a new light.

If it weren’t for the time I spent with Abby Joy, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my faith. Abby Joy changed my life. She brought a new sense of purpose, joy, and discipline.

Abby Joy’s beautiful, radiant life changed me and my family for the better. Through her, Jesus reached into the deepest parts of my heart.

Abby Joy was the first person we got to know at church!  When our family started attending New Life, Abby Joy and her Dada would be walking the halls during the service, and I would be walking the same halls with my son. He loved Abby Joy and was always excited to see his friend! Abby Joy’s life and walk with Jesus has put heaven into a different perspective for both of our boys. They better understand that even though we don’t see Abby Joy here on Earth, they get to see her in heaven again someday, and that Abby Joy now gets to live with Jesus. Abby Joy’s life truly was a light for our entire family, but especially for our young boys.

I truly believe she was Bennett’s first real friend, other than Denver. He was always so happy to see her in the hallways at church while we walked around, and was so shy the first time she signed hello and you told us what it meant.

He still mentions her every now and again and I’ll never forget the first time the topic of Heaven came up after her passing. He said simply and confidently with his cute little smile, “my friend Abby Joy is in heaven.” I know he misses her presence, but he, like all of us, knows where she is.

I’ll also never forget the cookie party and how she decorated an entire plate worth!

Abby Joy's strength and resilience through challenges was admirable and left a lasting impression on me on how one can still exhibit joy and have a lasting positive impact on others no matter how tough a trial or time in life can be.

During her lifetime she clearly modeled "perseverance plus" in overcoming obstacles in her life. She was a sweet little girl who taught us a valuable life lesson without speaking a word on the topic.

I had absolutely NO IDEA as I sat in the parking lot of Magee Hospital anticipating Abby Joy’s birth, what a HUGE impact this little one would have on not only my life—but the lives of SO many others. She modeled the BEST things in life—love of worshiping God and love for others.

Abby Joy exuded endurance and perseverance amidst trying circumstances, was a patient little one, was a good listener, and “a smart cookie”.

Thank you, Jesus, for the precious gift of Abby Joy and ALL that she taught me AND for the special gift she left me with….    As I turned to leave their home on April 4th, she said she loved me.

She would never have the opportunity to speak those words to me again.💔

The Joy of the Lord is contagious! Although Abby Joy's life from beginning to end had its challenges, she exuded that contagious Joy! Her devoted family caught that special Joy.

As concerns were felt & many challenges were met I never had a conversation with a family member that you could not feel that overwhelming under current of JOY!

Abby Joy's remarkable life left this world a better place by making the Joy of Lord something to catch, to ponder & to share!

Thank you, precious Jesus loving girl!

Diana B. (Abby Joy’s Ma)

It is impossible for me to summarize a life like Abby Joy’s in a few short sentences!

Abby Joy glorified the LORD and made a “forever impact” on the lives of all who loved her during her short life on this earth! She loved others with her whole heart! The love between Abby Joy and her siblings was unlike anything I ever witnessed. Their love relationship was genuine, beautiful, and heartwarming!

Abby Joy’s life was an inspiration to me and all who knew her and prayed for her! She bravely faced and battled all her medical issues while exuding joy on a daily basis. She lived out her life verse,
“The joy of the LORD is your (my) strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Abby Joy had a pure heart of worship to the LORD and looked forward to “church day” each week! She beautifully lived out her calling and brought glory to the LORD in 3 ½ short years. Her “Papa” has said, “God graduated her early!” Abby Joy’s years on this earth were few, but her impact will be eternal!

She was truly a gift to our family! “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” James 1:17

Being Abby Joy’s “Ma” (Mema) on this earth has been one of the greatest privileges of my life! I will love her… always and forever!

1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
