September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  Over $9,000 was raised in September 2025 to donate to the Lemieux Center for Pediatric Cancer Research.

Abby Joy was declared ‘cancer free’ the week of her first birthday.  In celebration and gratitude her grandma began this fundraiser by helping the older siblings walking ‘laps’ around the track and having people sponsor them.  Abby Joy participated in walking to raise money the following two years and this year the siblings continued in her memory.  Over $37,500 has been raised for childhood cancer since this fundraiser first began.
