Having had the privilege of helping Abby Joy endure so many extremely hard things while she maintained a purely joyful spirit has forever impacted Cody, Abby Joy’s Dada. Being a caretaker for a complex medical child is difficult and sometimes gut-wrenching, but it was all worth it to have witnessed her Christlike joy and to have received her genuine love. Cody understands the hard road ahead for families when they bring home a child with many medical challenges, particularly the working parent’s role, and wants to help make that road even just a little less bumpy for them.
Just as Abby Joy’s life and testimony have been a memorial to God’s faithfulness, Cody’s hope is that the help given to families through Joy in the Journey will also be a memorial of the mighty and merciful hand of God.
Cody is a fluid power engineer for a heavy equipment manufacturer and has served on the deacon board at his church.

Joshua 4:21-24
And he said to the people of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in times to come, ‘What do these stones mean?’ then you shall let your children know, ‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”
