Many NICU moms just had major surgery and are recovering also as they stay with their babies.  It is often impossible for them to physically leave the floor to get a special meal elsewhere without help, especially when balancing pumping for their newborn.  We also donated side snap shirts for the babies since special outfits are often needed with the amount of wires and medical interventions being done with the kids.  Moms still find joy in ‘dressing up’ their child even in a medical facility.
